Hello all!
I have amazing news! I woke up this morning to emails telling me that I had received some funds in the account for the trip! I can’t tell you how humbling and joyous it was to have people standing with me as I go in the direction God has called me. Of course, I can’t say thank you directly, because someone took the biblical exhortation towards giving anonymously, well… literally.
Whoever you are, thank you for your gift of love. Please know that it is sincerely appreciated.
BUT WAIT! It gets better.
Today was also the day that we launched a bake sale at Mercy Trauma Center in Springfield, Missouri. All I can say is, people there really love cookies and popcorn, because that stuff is GONE! The sale brought in about $28 just today, and there were a few people who said they would be bringing checks in in the days ahead! I’m feeling tremendously supported by my old co-workers, and I have to say a special thanks to the awesome team of people (who would kill me if I named them publicly) who are doing a lot of planning, thinking, and baking behind the scenes. You are some of the finest friends a man could ask for, and I appreciate your wonderful help.
STILL MORE NEWS!
Do you like shirts? Of course you do. Do you like me? Of course you do! (You’re reading my blog after all… and you’re at the bottom of the page.)
Well, I just finished rolling out a T-shirt booster for the trip! In my support letter, I talked about trying to light candles instead of cursing the darkness. This shirt is a reflection of that, which draws it’s theme from Jesus’ words in Matthew 5:14-16:
“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”

These can be purchased for $15 dollars each at https://www.booster.com/seanfalconer . I tried to price them at a reasonable price point; There is a $5 charge for shipping, but the benefit is that it will come straight to your house instead of you needing to pick it up. This brings the total to $20.00.
THIS RUN OF SHIRTS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR TWO WEEKS!
If I meet my goal of 75 shirts sold, it will contribute over $600 to the trip!
Together, we can light a lot of candles!
