I know this is a long blog but please keep reading till the end because there is a lot of
VERY imortant information and changes that I know you will wan to know about.
Ok so when I last left yall I told you I had switched teams to team S’MORE and that we were working a children’s camp in Bucharest, Romania. Last month was a great time of transition and learning to trust the Lord with my life and just being humble enough to run with him instead of fighting back. I had a great time working the children’s camp and going into more gypsy villages to play with the children, as well as helping out in a local church. This past week we spent time in Brasov, Romania at a conference called The Awakening. It was an amazing time with almost 200 fellow World Racers from the different squads out on the field right now, as well as alumni, staff, and coaches that were all flown in to be apart of this wonderful Spirit filled event. I grew so much closer to the Lord our God by just letting all my spirits of fear, rejection, pride, and stubborness behind and finally being free to be who my Dad created me to be. Along with all the amazing worship times and seminars they offered us, we were also able to participate in a first annual dance off between my squad ” I SQUAD ” and the Jan. ’09 squad, the ” H SQUAD”. It was a great time of fun and laughter that was highly competitive. But in the end after much deliberation from the esteemed panal of judges my squad came out on top and were annouced the WINNERS. My hat is off to the opposing squad though, because they truely were amazing. Pictures and videos will be put out as soon as I get a chance.
Another big change that happend to me this past week was that I have once again been switched to a different team within my squad. I am now on team ” IN-TENT-CITY” (pronounced as Intensity). The meaning of this comes from several different things: 1. We want to be INTENTional with our pursuit of more of God 2. We are living in TENTs 3. The TENT was always thought to have the presence of the Lord with in 4. We are the light of God in this world and we are to be CITY on the hill.

This new position I have been given is such a humbling place to be, I never thought this would happen to me on this trip, but it has. I am trusting in God that he knows what is best for me and I know that he has called me up out of the ranks and placed me in this new authourity under his direction. I am so stoked for my new team, I am truely blessed to have what I consider the dream team with me. Each of them has so many different giftings and I know God is going to be using me to emower each of them more into stepping out with their gifts.
We are heading out of Romania early tomorrow morning (the 25th of Sept) and will board a lovely train and travel the 19-23 hours to Istanbul, Turkey!!!! This is an unexpected and wonderful addition to our race route. We will be spending 10 days there working with different organizations. And then travel on to Isreal for the rest of the month of October. Please be praying every day for our safety as we travel and visit the different cities. Because they are both closed countries we must be very careful with what we do and say, as well as what is posted on the internet. So this will be my last blog I am allowed to post until we get to Africa in November. Please be careful to not comment on this or any of my past blogs while we are in these countries. The countries are very careful to monitor the intenet usage so please don’t mention the work that I am doing or anything about our faith on facebook or even through emails. I will still be posting updates that I am safe and enjoying the cities I am in on facebook and the tourist pictures as well. Please honor these requests as our safety as well as the safety of the organizations we work with will depend on it. Thanks for all your continued support and prayers, it means the world to me!!!
OH AND ONE LAST THING: TODAY I WAS ABLE TO GO PARA-GLIDING OFF ONE OF THE MOUNTAINS HERE IN BRASOV, ROMANIA. IT WAS THE MOST AMAZING EXPERIENCE AND I HAVE LOTS OF PICTURES AND VIDEO OF MY TIME FLYING THAT I WILL POST AS SOON AS I CAN!!!
