HOLA MI AMIGOS! COMO ESTAS?
Greetings from Guatemala. Things are going pretty well so far. We are in the city of Panajachel about 3 hours outside the airport in Guatemala City that we flew into on Sunday the 31st. We will be here in the city for the rest of the week. The Adventures in Missions staff are here with us leading us through some training sessions. At the end of this week the staff will all head back to the States and each team will disperse around the country to various locations this coming Saturday. My team AZARIAH will be traveling about 6 hours from where we are right now. We will be staying in the small village of Camotan. It is near the north eastern boarder near Honduras. We will be working with a brand new contact for The World Race, which means that no other team has traveled to this specific village and worked with the ministry contact we will be working with. We will have opportunities to work in hospitals, orphanages, with construction, deforestation, as well as delivering school supplies to the children up in the mountains outside the city. We will be camping out in our tents for the next few weeks until the 29th of June. I know that we will be following God’s direction and working in the specific ministries that he has prepared for us. I am so excited to get into the “nitty-gritty” of missions work. I will be keeping you updated on everything that we will be doing as well as posting pictures.
