8 PM leave for Bus Station
8:30 arrive at shady bus station
10:00 board shady bus- bus doesn’t stop, only slows. Stuffed all 12 packs in back while moving. Thank God for local friends from school of worship
10:01 music starts blaring
12:00 music stops, blaring movie continues
Saturday 1/8
1:00 bathroom stop, charges 30 rup to pee
1-2 sleep
2:30 awoken
5:20 arrive at Bus stop in Vijayawada, contact no where in sight
5:22 beggars find young, white, rich Americans with bags of money.
5:25 we attempt to convince the beggars we don’t have bags of money.
5:27 we give up trying to communicate with the beggars.
5:30 John and I find a payphone and call Madhava, He thought he was picking us up at 8:30 am at another stop
5:45 find bus to other stop. Board bus- entire cost 322 rup (~$7 USD) for entire team of 12
6:45 arrive at other bus stop, still no Madhava
7:00 call Madhava, sends people to pick us up.
7:15 they arrive, load all packs first,
7:30 we arrive welcomed by a celebration!
