I’m Scott ,
I was born in Kingsport, Tennessee.  I lived in Tennessee until eight
years ago when my parents moved to Georgia.  I still visit Tennessee
often because that is where I grew up and I still consider it home
because that is where all of family still lives.  I enjoy going back
because it brings back memories of my childhood .  I started going to
church right after I was born, it was a small Freewill Baptist Church
that my Dad attended when he was growing up.  Other members of my
family attended the same church, very special people, my Grandfather
and my Aunt and Uncle. I loved going to Sunday  School and attending
Vacation Bible School.  I was saved when I was 10 at Vacation Bible
School.  Every summer my sister Kara and I could not wait to go
to Bible School, we went to everyone that we could.  When I became a
teenager I continued  going to church attending every youth group
activity that I could at Towering Oaks Baptist Church.  I went to
Mexico twice with my church for mission work, I went to Kentucky for
mission work and  I also did community mission work.  My friends have
been very big influences in my church life.  Brent, Jason, Tamara and
Brandon went into ministry, Brad is a teacher and Nate is
a banker. Even though we have grown up and we are now adults we still
keep in touch and we all still attend church.
My reason to go into the mission field was support from friends,
support from my church and my love for God!  Since I have moved to
Georgia I have found a great church, great friends and the AIM
Program.   After many long talks and long walks with Kelley, a friend
who has also served on the mission field in South Africa, my interest
continued to grow about going into missions. So here we are I am
finally going on the world race and I am so excitied to go to these
countries and see how God will change me and how I can help to change
people with his grace.
