Training Camp:

Today starts the beginning of new friendships, new experiences, new obstacles, and new memories. Today I go to World Race training camp!!! WOOOO! Honestly never thought this day would come.

As I sit here I have a mixture of excitement and nervousness come through me. I am excited to meet L squad, to share life and to laugh. I’m excited to finally use my tent, sleeping bag and to see if my sleeping pad is as nice as my bed at home. (highly unlikely.) I do worry though…that’s just how I am. Every-time there is a huge new adventure set before me, it’s always my natural tendency to have some bit of lingering nerves. I have learned to remind myself of the countless times God has provided me peace. On multiple occasion I have sat nervous to step into God’s plan and yet he has only provided an out pour of His peace. He has time and time again taken my pounding heart into his hands to bring rest and trust.

With that said I AM PUMPED!! I AM READY!! LEGGGGGOOOOO!!!

I am told not to have any expectations for this weekend but I can only see myself being refreshed, encouraged and filled with an excitement to pursue God and his will for me!!

If you could be praying for me, my squad, the Adventures in Missions team as we start training camp this weekend!!

P.S. This is what 12 shirts, 10 pair of underwear, 6 pair of shorts, 5 pair of socks, 2 pair of pants, 2 flannels, a fleece, a rain jacket , a sleepingbag, a pair of shoes, a sleeping pad, cooking kit and a tent look like!!!! What is life??? This is going to be my life!!!
