As so many people are coming to the Lord and lives are being changed, we are meeting some resistance. We have begun to set up many bible studies and cell groups, everyone seems to be discipling people in Tumpa. The body is growing before our very eyes like the miracle growing rocks we used to buy. These rocks that were all different colors and just by adding water they grew in all different shapes.
But someone is not happy. I guess there is a small but loud group that are afraid of what will happen when people are free and happy. I guess this is the combined force of the communist party here and the catholic church.
So just keep praying for us. There is also a cult here called the Israelitos. They believe the messiah lived in this mountain range, a man named Ezekiel. He is dead, but they are expecting his return soon. These people believe in the old testament, and are end timers but totally reject the name of Jesus. Check out 1 John 4 on that.
One of these Israelitos is confrontational and carries an axe. He was wagging his finger at me and speaking Quechua at me. I said buenos dias, senor. Then, spirit of deception and any other spirit you are rebuked in Jesus name. In a calm and friendly voice. He shut up, we shook hands, and he walked away. Since then he has been a perfect gentleman, so pray for him and thank God my name is written in the book of life. see Luke 10 (I believe).
