We have now been in the Andes for a week. My nose is totally cracked and peeling, because I forgot sunblock 2 days in a row and received the worst sunburn of my life. Putting on my shirt felt like dragging razor wire down my forehead and my nose.
I forgot to mention the letters and gifts we received in Nicaragua. It was like christmas for us. It is amazing to me, how with a life so full and exciting right now, that the touches from home brought so much joy.
I have to thank my mother in law, Laurel Anderson for her hard work. Thank you for the thoughts and prayers, I realize how much you truly love me and love us, and it takes awhile for all that to get through this skull. Thank you for the shorts, I am wearing them right now, I love them. The tent is fantastic. All the other stuff and letters were awesome also. Oh yeah, my sneakers too, totally saved my knees for a couple more months.
Also thanks to my sister in law, Heather Alexanian, and my nieces, Lindsey, Megan, and Hannah, for the girl scout cookies. Caramel delites are my favorite, I think I ate them with out even taking a breath. I really wanted to eat them in private so no one would notice how much I enjoyed them, but instead I made a public spectacle of myself. Your drawings were awesome too.
To my parents thanks for the letters and to my sister, Becky and her husband Bernie, thank you for the picture, that was such an awesome time for me, best thanksgiving ever.
