So we made it to Rwanda on Tuesday night. The trip across the border was a pretty simple process, and was much shorter than our trek across Uganda last month. This month we are in a town called Nyagatare near the border of Uganda, a rather well developed little town. We're working with a church called Faith Center, and will be mainly doing more door to door ministries this month. We may be visiting some near by hospitals as well to visit and pray with people there.

Overall this seems like it will be a very different month even though we are doing some of the very same things, last month working with a rather large Anglican Dioceses, compared to now working with a small independent church. I'm looking forward to see what God is going to show myself and my teammates this month.

On our first day of door to door ministry on Thursday, we saw God heal people physically and others have expressed a renewed spirit after we had a chance to share with them. I'm still not sure that door to door ministry would be my first choice in reaching out to others, but after the past few months I'm beginning to see that if we take the time to actually listen to what is going on in their lives, instead of showing up at someones door and trying to convert them, it becomes a way to encourage and share with them, and that may speak more to someone than simply reading some scripted monolog off to them.
