Lately we’ve been doing so much at Bagot, that we’ve hardly had time to just enjoy ourselves. The spiritual climate here is such that when we get a day off, we sleep, pray, or journal it away. There’s so much going on that it’s even hard to blog. Luckily, our contacts were kind enough to bless us with a day of fun at Crocosaurus Cove! They not only encouraged us to take the time to go, but they purchased the tickets and “made us” go. They’re truly a God-send!
After feeding the fish, we enjoyed our day at Crocosaurus Cove. We got to hold a few reptiles and take pictures with Crocodiles and such. Darwin is known for being a croc town- so much so that you’re advised never to swim in Darwin waters, there’s always a croc lurking nearby. So instead of waiting for them to show up, we went and found them. We learned a lot and laughed a lot, all in all it was a much needed fun day. We even got to take a picture of, “Burt”, from the Crocodile Dundee movie, so that was cool :o)
Aside from needing this time to just have fun and stop processing for a moment, we re-learned something very valuable: the power of selfless giving. So many of us have the means and the ability to give out of the kindness of our hearts; to bless others, but we don’t. Why? I’m not sure… mostly because we just don’t feel like it, I guess. But through David and Isobel’s generosity I’ve gotten to see the blessings that God pours out on people that give even when they don’t have much. Now, I’m not saying that I want to be giving just so that God will pour out blessings over my life, but I want to bless people with the same feeling that our contacts blessed us with. Feeling like we’re loved, we’re appreciated, we’re thought of…. just because.
It’s that kind of generosity that brought us here. To THIS place. To bless THESE people. For such a time as THIS. So thank you, to all of you that have given of yourselves to make this possible. Thank you for showing us what it’s like to be selfless and to BE LOVE. Thank YOU for being an inspiration.
