HAPPY NEW YEAR!
The time has come for us to leave… leave the last of our possessions and most importantly our loved ones. We have been so busy lately that I hadn’t really given “goodbyes” much thought. I’m realizing that I was so focused on the things we needed to do to prepare for this, the excitement of doing this mission, and how awesome it will be to impact people’s lives in ways we’ve never dreamt of, that I hadn’t so much thought of how hard it would be to leave. Saying goodbye to our families and friends was pretty painful; giving up our possessions, not so much. Seeing your family and friends cry for various reasons and know that you’ve caused them that pain, is hard to deal with. I will say that I find strength in knowing that they want what’s best for us- joy and purpose, and so, as much as we’ll miss each other we’ve got their support. That means the world to us! So if that’s you, thank you! We love you and we miss you already- you are always on our hearts! We hope you all have an amazing new year, filled with nothing but blessings!
As we head out we want to remind you that we’ll have limited access to internet and we don’t really know how safe or reliable internet connections will be, but check our blog page once a week- we’ll make sure to keep you all up to date as much as possible. I imagine we’ll be typing up our blogs on Word as we go along, and putting them up on our actual blog the first chance we get. So get ready to go on this adventure with us! No more tears… get excited! Together we’re going to be the change we want to see in the world. We’re pumped…are you?!
