Month 9/9 is now underway. Just typing that out simultaneously makes me want to cry and smile from ear to ear. Time is a crazy thing. At one point I was wishing it away and now it’s like I’m gripping sand, and the harder I squeeze it the faster it slips through my fingers.
One of my squad leaders, Steven, said “at one point we stopped counting how many days we have been on the race and we start counting down how many days we have left.” It’s human nature to look forward to the future. We all want to know what the next season of our life will look like and how we can best prepare for it, even if that means not being fully present in the now.
I won’t let my excitement for the future steal my present! I want to be fully engaged with my community here before I make the transition back to Lee’s Summit, MO in less than a month!
