Hello everyone!! Thank you for reading this blog and staying updated with all that is a part of my World Race journey. There have been some changes, some milestones, and I want to tell y’all about them!
Route Changes
Due to some different factors our route has changed since it was originally given to us. This is totally normal and they told us that we can expect changes to everything so to just come with an open mind.
We are NO LONGER going to — Madagascar or Laos or Jamaica
INSTEAD, we are going to — Namibia and Myanmar and Haiti
NEW Route — Serbia, Bulgaria, Romania, Malaysia, Thailand, Myanmar, South Africa, Lesotho, Namibia, Haiti, and Dominican Republic
For whatever reason, God is taking us to these new places and we are all excited to go! Please pray as we prepare our hearts for these new countries and the people that live within their borders.
SIDE NOTE: My parents will have the opportunity to come see me Month 7 in South Africa, so yay! Be praying for that as well!! That funding would happen and that we could be reunited for five whole days!
Fundraising Update
Y’all have been a part of me raising almost $17,000!!! (My final goal is $18,017) Woah, thanks! I only have $1,300 left to be FULLY FUNDED — which is crazy awesome!! There are still some fundraisers going on at the moment
- Adopt-A-Box (featured on my Instagram: @savinsav and Facebook: SavannahStoker)
- Yard Sale (at my parent’s home in Watkinsville, this coming Saturday, July 15th)
- T-Shirts (I still have about 15 of those left, so buy them up!)
- Personal giving (where you can personally give to my blog and it’s tax deductible)
Let’s raise the rest of this money!! God has been so faithful and I truly believe that if I wasn’t supposed to go, He would not have raised the money for me.
Life Update
I only have 22 days left until Launch! (Launch is where my family and I will go to Atlanta and spend two days preparing for me to leave the States, and then I will get on my plane to Serbia!)
Where has the time gone?! With that said, I have started saying my goodbyes and see ya later’s to friends and family. If you want to hangout before I leave just message/text/call and let’s go to lunch! or coffee! or for a jog! Whatever! I want to see you all and it would bless me so much to see you before I leave.
