Hello friends!!! Been home for two weeks and one day, exactly. Today I head to Squad Leader Training, which will be followed by Training Camp where I will meet my new squad! Wow. It is all happening so fast.
When I got home from the Race it didn’t even feel like I was gone. Which I guess is a good thing? But golly, I knew I was different. I knew that I had been on a crazy adventure that was projecting me into the next stages of life. At first I was scared. The first days back in America were like a dream. I was scared that returning to the field would be really difficult because I had a little taste of home. A little taste of American comforts. But now that I have been home for a little bit and I think I am ready to get back to Race life. I’m ready to see what God has in store for me. This little season of rest has been great! And August will prove to be beneficial in that we all need rest. Why do you think God took the 7th day to rest? Cause we need it!! And these weeks of resting, getting to see family and friends, is just what I need after 11 months of awesomeness that leaves you with little sleep. But I am ready to head out with my new squad, my new leadership team, and my new self. I am excited to see what God does in my heart this nine months. To see what He will allow me to experience because He is just so good!
I will be heading to Gainesville around 3pm today. I will be gone until the 20th!! Prayers for our leadership team as we meet each other and cast vision for our Squad in these next few days. Prayers for our Squad as they head to Georgia and start this journey for themselves!! May the Lord show up in big ways and begin stirring big things in our hearts.
