This past week we spent our spring break in Dallas with a youth group from the Houston area.  The group of 1/2 middle school, 1/2/ high school came to serve the local community, share the good news and love of Jesus to the people there.  We worked in two different communities during the week.

Each morning the team held a Vacation Bible School for the hispanic community.  Since the children were on spring break we had a great outcome. We worshipped together, taught a bible story, made arts & crafts, played games outside and ate so many hotdogs.

We were so blessed to run this VBS and come along side Pastor Juan Pableo.  He has been trying to start a new church for the hispanic families in the area.  So when the families started hearing of what we were doing during the week they began to bring thier children and talk with Juan Pableo. By end of the week we had enough families coming to our VBS and meeting with Pastor Juan Pableo that he now gets to start his church in that area! It was so great to see the fruit of our work in just a week, and such a blessing to come along side a Pastor with a dream.

In the afternoons we went to the refugee apartments and gathered the kids for another VBS.  Both the refugee children and the youth group felt the tangible love of Jesus through this time together

In the evenings we attended Dallas International Street Church.  This is a church in south Dallas for the homeless to come and receive a hot meal, as well as a warm place to come and hear the word of God.  The team got to participate in serving the meals, sharing testimonies, and prayer with the church members.

Spring break in Dallas was a great week of growth in new experiences.  There was so much love both given and received. The team went home with full hearts ready to show their home of Houston the same love and outreach.
