OH MY GOODNESS!!!
It is 11:45 on Saturday night, and I have seriously been going non-stop since Thursday morning. I'm pretty sure that right now is the first time that I have really sat down. I don't even think that I have sat down to eat! For example, tonight while I was eating dinner I was standing and getting to know some nice young gents from the Church of the Latter Day Saints. Serioiusly, it has been NON-STOP!!!
So why in the world would I be going at such a pace you ask?
That's simple, my first deadline!
Ya' see…Monday October 1, 2012 is my first deadline, and by that day I am to have $3,500.00 in my WR account. Needless to say, I did not have that money! At the beginning of this week I had a whopping total of $1,121.00 in my account. Now, I am not going to pretend like I was looking at this and completely trusting God, because I so wasn't! I mean, yeah that's what my mouth was saying but that is so far from what my heart was screaming most of the time!!! Quite simply, I was freaking out at the beginning of this week!!
But then God used His mighty ways to slap me in the face and remind me that He is God, He is good, and He does provide! And boy am I thrilled to learn this lesson…again.
This weekend my small little town of Wylie, TX had a rodeo (I swear I am not some goat roper from Texas), and thanks to my fabulous church I got to be apart of the festivities! We hosted the Kiddie Corral…aka the bounce houses…and charged kids five bucks a pop to bounce their hearts out all night long! And can I just say that this "fundraiser" rocked my socks off?!?! I mean, I made like $1,300.00, and I had a great time!!! INCREDIBLE!!
And…..some different people raising money for various missions trips this year through my church hosted a craft fair, and they totally let me jump right in with them and sell my threads of hope bracelets! Pretty awesome turn out if I do say so myself!
And…..I have gotten two checks equalling $150!
You see, right now God is just throwing money at me. And I am not going to lie, I love it! It's awesome to have needs and then to be able to work and watch as God's Holy awesomeness rolls out and meets those needs! It truly is an incredible experience, and I seriously hope that every single one of you will one day walk out on a limb that causes you to see this happen in your own life!
As I type all of that I am reminded that I still have $650.00 to go before I officially meet this deadline, and I am seriously so excited to work my butt off here and watch to see how God will provide!
I can't help but wonder how he will do this. Will He lead a good friend to donate? Will He lead a complete stranger? Will He have it lying on the sidewalk when I walk to my car to go to church in the morning? Or will it just randomly fall from the sky? I have no idea the method that He will choose, but I challenge you, my friends, my family, strangers, fellow racers or allumni, whatever you are to me, I challenge you to pray about it.
