God is really doing som crazy things in my life right now, and a common theme amongst all of these things is new. He has put me into several new situations in the last week, and I am super excited to see where these things will take me!!
Our first new experience is our country! We have moved into Bulgaria now, and it is incredible!! I am seriously in love with this place already! We got to spend a few days in Sophia, which was awesome; and now we have moved to Stanbolovo, where we will be working with John and Jane Goodwin to do some serious renovations on their property, reach out to the gypsy community some, and maybe even meet a man that is in the process of starting a children's home here in Bulgaria. New thing number one is AWESOME!!
The next new thing to happen was the raising up of our new squad leaders. Kat and Jeremy have been incredible, and I will be uber sad to see them go, but there time with us will be finished at the end of this month! But that just means one thing…newbies!!! And these three people are going to do an incredible job at leading us; these three people being Jake, Ben, and Kellie S.!! I'm super excited to see how the Lord will use this new opportunity to really stretch them and grow their leadership styles!! New thing number two is also AWESOME!!
The next new thing in my life is a result of the previous new thing in my life! Jake was my team leader, but now he is my squad leader. His absence in team zeroH would have left an unfillable void in the team, and that is simply not acceptable!! Which can only mean one thing….TEAM CHANGES!!! I won't lie, this new thing did not make me happy! In fact, I cried a good bit about it! I loved my old team and the family that we had become, and they definitley will not be replaced! I had great times with team zeroH, but now I am apart of Team Committed! My new team consists of Kellie V., Marianne, Seth, and I couldn't move on from team zeroH without Emily and Jah-Jah!! I'm so excited to see what God has in store for us as a team, and I can tell after just a few days of being together that we really are going to have such an incredible time together, just doing life! New thing number three started off rough, but is now AWESOME too!!
This last new thing is really exciting to me because I have been praying for more responsibilities on the race, and I am finally getting them!!! So every World Race team has a treasurer within the team. The treasurer is responsible for making sure their team stays on budget and is taken care of financially….and I am the new treasurer for Team Committed!! I already love my new job so much!! I got to go grocery shopping, check all of our reciepts, enter them into my spreadsheet, and all kinds of things!! Having one million responsibilities is something that I have really missed since being on the race, and so I am so thankful that God is allowing me to have some new ones these days!! So, new think number four is also very AWESOME!!!
Fundraising has been going great!! but I am still in need of $3,150.00 by the end of June.
