We've made it halfway!!!!
I cannot believe this chapter in my life is half complete!!!! What a crazy, incredible 5.5 months it has been.
I'm beyond excited to see where God takes me in the next five and a half months.
The past five and a half months have brought:
Freedom
Vulnerability
Grace
Compassion
Love
I've walked through a lot over the last five months.
January was all about surrendering my fears to the Lord.
In Mozambique God was preparing me for my mom's death. We volunteered in a hospital in the village, visiting people with various illnesses.
February was spent at a hospice and at care points…. visiting and praying for patients.
February was also spent hearing the news of my mom's passing and flying home to be with my family. To this day, I am SO thankful I was surrounded by the people I was with when I heard the news. Never in my life have I felt so much peace and assurance as I felt during the time of my mom's death.
March was spent at home helping my dad get settled, asking God what He wanted me to do next (He answered me in the middle of a grocery store..ha) filling out countless India visa applications, and flying back to Africa.
April was spent in HOT India with a new team working in the ICM office and visiting villages. I spent most of my off time in our bathroom crying, journaling, and processing. India wasn't the best, but I'm thankful God had me there. The tough times are some of the best times!
May was my month of rest and walking in the authority I've been given as a daughter of the greatest Dad. We hiked mountains to visit families and preach in churches. My phobia of public speaking went away thanks to countless messages spoken in front of tons of people who don't speak my language.
This month has been a season of waiting and patience. God has told me I'm going to start a new season- that new things are coming. I have no idea what this new season looks like, but I trust my faithful God. He has nothing but good in store.
Praying for new goals, new dreams. and new desires. We'll see what He says!!!
