My parents are the great! They are very supportive of me and the decisions I am making for my life, like the world race!
These are my parents, Kelly and Joe Davis! My mom is a cosmetologist (which is the reason I always have a different hair color 🙂 and my dad is the athletic director, PE teacher, golf coach and drivers ed teacher at our local High School (yeah he pretty much does everything)!
The Lord has really blessed me with a amazing brother Brennan, who is 23 years old. We havent always seen eye to eye or got along, but he has always been there for me.
Why I'm Going on the World Race:
Alot of people ask why I am taking a year off school, why I'm leaving home, leaving my family, basically leaving everything behind to travel around the country. I am taking a year off of school to figure out what I am doing with my life. I have changed my major a few times, I know what I want to do in life, just not sure how I'm goning get there. Another reason, is this is a once in a lifetime chance, and I love to travel! So why not take some time off now and travel the world! Another reason I want go on the World Race because I want to be stretched, I was to be put out of my comfort zone, I want to learn more about myself, and more about God. I want to grow my relationship with God, I want to learn more about him and his plan for my life. Going to a Christian school can be hard, it is for me because I feel like since I go to a chapel 3 times a week and church on Sundays, my daily walk with Christ is like homework and I feel like I put my relationship with God on the bad burner. So this trip is going to help me re light the fire in my daily walk and relationship with Christ. I wont have tv, or my cell phone, or the things that take my attention away from focusing on God.
