Month 4 is a month of change!

New Teams: after month 3 we came together as a squad for team changes and also raising up squad leaders. I am now on a team of 6. 2 guys (Tyler Schipper, Samson) and 3 girls (Geena (T.L., Hannah McNair, Emily Hartman) Our new team name is Team Sh'ma.
The Sh'ma comes from Deuteronomy 6:4-5.

We are no longer staying in the city like the last 3 months we are now in a small town (village like) right outside of Phnom Penh called Takhmau.

This month is very different from the first 3. I loved the first 3 months but I finally feel like I'm on the race. This month we are living the same as the locals and with them. We have a little house behind the church and its awesome.

This month is also a month of abandonment. We do not have internet or air conditioning in our house. It has been awesome not to have internet to distract us. Its also been awesome to live just like the locals. They dont have air conditioning so we dont. It has been hard on those hot days but we have realized that we dont really need it.

Ministry the first 3 months have been very different. From super busy during the day to not at all. Ministry in Cambodia is all day. We have children coming to our house at 6:30 to play/hang out. We have children in our house til about 8pm just hanging out. We have been doing alot of relational ministry in some of the villages we go to on Wed & Fri. We do relational ministry also in our community around us. With the young people at the church or the neighbors. We also have been teaching english a couple nights a week.

Starting the Race I was always so nervous about having to speak at churchs or tell my testimony to people. This month has stretched me even more. We are given a couple oppurtunities a week to preach or give a bible study. Since being here I have taught 2 bible studies (1 in a village, and 1 to the young people of the church).

This is real life on the World Race!

We also have been blessed with a awesome caring contact this month. Tyvenn has been so good to us. He cares about the community and the people in the villages so much. He has such a heart to serve people. He is discipling 6 guys and its awesome to see them do life together. Continue to keep him in your prayers!

I offically passed my Dec 1 deadline of $11,000. I still need $3,900 in order to meet my March deadline. Please think about parterning with me!
