Going into training camp I had a ton of emotions towards finding out my team. I tried not to go into it with any expectations, which was difficult, but after 10 days with my team/ new family, God has surpassed any expectations I could’ve had for this group of girls.

MEET THE TEAM!

Shelby

met her at storytellers workshop and immediately loved her. throughout the week, she continued to open up to the group, being bold in her faith and showing us parts of her life through sharing her testimony and leading devo. her vulnerability is inspiring. she is so strong. and she was able to leave the shame that shackled her for years and fully surrender through baptism! praise the Lord!

Grace

a firecracker! she brings an energy to this group that we wouldn’t have without her. I got to witness her praying over people during worship and throughout training camp. she continues to pour into others. super bold and obedient. strong and fearless. I don’t think she hears it enough but she’s so beautiful and worthy and I’m so excited to live with her for 9 months!

Victoria

a. freaking. prayer. warrior. story-time: one night around 25 ish squadmates were gathered in our meeting place at 10:30, where a few people shared about some people who were struggling that they knew. victoria immediately said we should pray for those individuals. all of us gathered and prayed in unity. something I hadn’t experienced. truly powerful moment. this was just one of the few times victoria immediately turned to prayer no matter the situation. she also opened up to the group in super vulnerable ways. excited to see how God uses her on this team.

Cara

one of the first people I met on the squad. immediately she was willing to help me with my tent the first night. when I found out she was on my team- I was so excited. God was already working in our friendship. there were things that made Cara uncomfortable. things that she wasn’t used to. but that didn’t stop her. she continued to open up to the group, lean into the Lord, and just go for it! thankful for her sacrifices & beyond blessed to have her as a sister!

Gabby

one of the sweetest people. started off more soft spoken but later found herself opening up to the team more and more. I witnessed her step out in boldness several times even if she was uncomfortable. she makes everyone feel loved around her- and I cannot wait see her bring this fierce love to the nations.

Sarah

love. this. lady. she brings such a light to this group. her humor and goofiness is much needed. always smiling or making someone else smile. through her circumstances, she finds her strength in the Lord. I saw God moving big time in her through training camp & I cannot wait to see her light shining all over the world. seriously a ray of sunshine.

so how’d we get our name? well what started as a joke by victoria seemed to turn into the perfect name for us! nsync! we are in sync with the Lord and with each other. and it’s just more fun to name it like the band.

but anyways- I’m thankful for these girls! not what I expected coming into this, but God somehow always makes it better than we can imagine. (oh and pictured are the amazing leaders we are so privileged to have on this journey. could write a whole nother blog about them honestly)

pray for this team. that we will lean on each other through the hard and the easy. that we will always love each other well and acknowledge each others gifts. that we will bring kingdom to the nations.

so yeah! these are the (6 out of 47) people I’ll be living with in amazing community for the next nine months. crazy!
