My life right now is never what I expected. Some nights I’m serving coffee to prostitutes and homeless people. Some days I’m teaching a cooking class in Spanish. Then others I’m chasing waterfalls through the jungles of Costa Rica. And then tonight I found myself sitting in the mountains by a bonfire looking out at a billion city lights. I was surrounded by people that the Lord has completely blessed me with. Two teammates who have become my best friends in the past nine months and two ticos that I met 3 weeks ago but are some of the most amazing people I know. And as we sat there just listening to worship music, I was so in awe of what God has done in my life in these past months. He has blessed me indefinitely. Because of Him, I’ve been able to find myself in these unexpected moments that would have never happened on my own. I’ve met people around the world and created lifelong friendships. I’ve witnessed healings and Gods presence in crazy new ways. I’ve explored His most beautiful creations and realized that I am one of His most beautiful creations. I’ve been able to love people I never expected to love because He loves them infinitely. Life with Jesus is crazy and nothing I could’ve ever dreamt up or done on my own. If you told me a year ago I’d be chillin on this mountain reflecting the past year with these people I’d call you crazy. Never thought I could fall in love with so many people, cultures and places. But here I am with a thousand memories — filled with so many emotions: joy, peace, wholeness. A little sad that this season is coming to an end but so thankful for all that the Lord has walked me through and allowed me to experience. Never put a limit or expectation on what God can do in your life. Ephesians 3:20-21 “ God can do anything— far more than you could imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams” Believe it because He has done it countless times in my life and wants to fulfill so much more than we can ever dream up. Also, shoutout to the people I’ve met along the way. Each of you has shown me Jesus and His love in a new way and I’m forever grateful for you.
