I’m in Battambang, Cambodia!! After 40 hours of travel from Georgia to San Francisco, China, Siem Reap and a 4 hour bus ride to my location, I’m finally in my new home for the next 3 months. Landing in Siem Reap, Cambodia I immediately fell in love just like I did with India last year. There’s something about Asian culture that is so intriguing to me. Here’s how I’ve been spending my first two days in this beautiful country:
Spent some quality, much needed time with Jesus up on the rooftop of my new home.
Learned some basic Khmer.
Got assigned my bike aka my main type of transportation. I had a flat tire and had to go get it repaired at the shop with a few others. It was quite an adventure and we laughed with the locals for a while just because we couldn’t understand each other. The bike is a little worn out and falling apart but is such a blessing and it’s already taken me to so many new places.

Discovered a bunch of cute coffee shops and cafes with AC and wifi- woo such a luxury!

Went to dinner with my team in the city at a restaurant called Delicious. Something I’ve learned- The sun sets at 6pm and driving back home on a bike in a busy city is super nerve wracking but I’m learning!

Rode a tuk-tuk to a YWAM base for Sunday church service. It was a super unique experience- mix of Americans and Cambodians, both worshipping in our languages. But Praise God that He is so universal and that His love knows no boundaries. We listened to the sermon through headphones in English.

Saw a ton of cute kiddos. My heart melts every time.

So that’s about it. Tomorrow I’ll be finding out my ministry and couldn’t be more excited to get out of my comfort zone, form relationships and spread Jesus. He’s already teaching me so much and I’m extremely thankful for all the blessings so far. Taking it all in.
