Hey ya’ll! This post is some updates and challenges I’m currently facing!~~
Ever since I began this process about a month ago, God has challenged me through many different situations. The biggest of these being conversations. I love having the opportunity to tell people what I am going to do after finishing high school, yet for many they seem to blindly look past what I am really going for.
“Wow you get to see the world” is their most common response. And as amazing as that is, that’s not the purpose and they just don’t get it. Many of the conversations I have had, have been with non-believers. And alot of the conversations have led to them putting me down, questioning the purpose and doubting our Creator. One person even said “Savanah you are just star dust on a rock.”
But I’ve been thanking God for these conversations. They spark interest and could be a potential lifechanger for someone down the road. I’ve been praying that God will break my heart for what breaks His, and wow He is doing just that. From in my school classroom, gym, and in between, God is breaking my heart for all the lost people in my community. It is actually a huge blessing that God is using me in this way since I have been so wrapped up in the future, that I’ve been looking past a very important part. And that is that: I am on the mission field every single day. As a follower, we should be preaching the gospel daily with whatever opportunity God presents us with.
Although it’s frustrating, God is teaching me that people who are near me everyday are still lacking Jesus. So right now, this is my mission. And I can’t get caught up in the ‘when..’, when there is so much to do ‘now’.
As for fundraising, I am so OVERWHELMINGLY GRATEFUL for those who have supported me so far!! Currently at: $4,500!! which is almost to my June deadline! So blessed that you all want to walk along side me as I embark this crazy journey. Please continue to keep me in your prayers as challenges arise and fear creeps in. Prayerfully consider giving if you feel led in your heart. Love you all and GOD BLESS!
