It has been one year and two months to the day that I was accepted to the race. But nobody’s counting….I have been preparing,wish-listing, reading, training, gear buying, praying, crying, and waiting. It. Is. Finally. Here. I leave for Guatemala in about 17 hours. Honestly, I never thought it was going to happen. But it is. I have been shown God’s faithfulness unlike ever before. People always say things like this make you stronger….blah. blah. blah. Y’all, it’s true. I’m not who I was before I went to my first training camp in July. But you have to experience it before you really know what I’m talking about. I hope you, you reading this right now, will experience what seems like an awful terrible disaster and come out stronger on the other side. I’m actually praying that for you, you’re welcome in advance.

Thank you to my supporters for supporting me.
Thank you to U squad for loving me.
Thank you to my fabulous A squad for embracing the tears and crazy that I am.
Thank you to those specific people who have been there for me more than anyone could ever ask of a person. You know who you are.

I am about to embark on the ride of a lifetime. I cannot wait to get it started. Although yes, I know there will probably be more tears at the airport…both tears of leaving and tears of disbelief that I will be stepping on the plane. The next blog you read will be about our beautiful ministry in Guatemala. You’re gonna want to read it!
