Dear future racers.

STOP reading all these packing blogs. They will only stress you out. I’m serious. I know this because I read at least 100 and they all say different things.

Here is what you need to know:

-you’re probably going to cry. embrace it.

-it will possibly take you a few days of packing, unpacking, readjusting, eliminating, and repeating.

-you’re going to have to get rid of things you want and think you need.

-you’re going to have to stuff your HUGE bottle of doxy in your tiny daypack.

-you’re going to have to get rid of things that you asked for and were gifted for the race.

-you will have to realize you can’t take enough deodorant and tooth brushes for 11 months.

-you just might need to Skype with your squad’s packing nazis in order to eliminate a lot of your clothes.

-you’re going to have to recognize the difference of being a moocher vs. living in a community.

-you may have an ideal weight in mind but you might not hit it.

THIS. here it is. My 43 pound pack and 19 pound day pack. This took at least 5 days and MANY a pack and unpack. GOOD LUCK RACERS!
