One evening last month in Macedonia, my team and I hiked up a mountain to worship besides the huge cross that is set up on the top.
The sunset was incredible, and we just sat and basked in the glory and colors of the sky that our Father has created.
One of the songs that was playing while we were sitting there was called “Not in a hurry” by Will Reagan and United Pursuit.
Its a song that talks about not being in a hurry when it comes to experiencing Gods presence and hearing his voice. As we sat, no phones, no talking, not thinking about what I had to do next, I could feel God’s presence so clearly all around me.
The sky was a burning red, orange and blue. It hit me how often we run around so busy, and we rarely stop to just dwell with the Lord; to really rest and be silent, waiting to hear his voice and feel his peace.
This song is a beautiful reminder to stop and to rest in his nearness. To listen for his voice, to feel his presence and his love.
