~HELLO ALBANIA~
Five months in Asia, and we are done and have moved on to a new continent!! It was such an amazing time, great hosts, and wonderful ministry.
But now we are in Europe and I couldn’t be happier.
I had a feeling that somewhere in Europe would grab my heart but i never expected to be so incredibly blown away.
We arrived in Albania 4 days ago and I immediately fell in love.
We are just outside of Tirana, in Farke, and its absolutely the most gorgeous place I have ever seen.
Rolling green hills, huge mountains, the cutest little village homes, and the weather is just perfect.
We are staying in a cute house overlooking the mountains, the lake and the green hills with cows and chickens roaming around.
Our host, Donna, is the most lovely person. She is so passionate about the Muslim community around her and the children that she teaches English to.
The moment we were picked up at the airport, i knew I was going to have the worst time leaving this month!
The Lord has definitely come through this month for me, I have such a passion for the Muslim people and being able to work with them this month just means the world to me.
This first week we have been passing out New Testaments to the far side of the village that we are staying in. The last two days have been so wonderful and fulfilling. We walk to the other side of the beautiful lake, and just go door to door handing out free books about “Esa al Messi” or Jesus the Messiah as he is known in the Koran.
There are so many commonalities in the Koran and the Bible that we can really use as tools to talk about the gospel.
So many Muslims have come to Christ just by reading their own holy book and realizing that Esa seems to be of a deeper significance.
The team and I are praying that the Muslims in the community reads and discusses the New Testament with their community and neighbors.
The two weeks after, we will be running a sports camp with some neighborhood kids! Soccer and volleyball as well as art class and dance!
My heart is so full being in Albania, and I’m hoping that everyone will join the me and the team as we are in constant prayer for the Muslim community and the children that we will be hanging out with. Especially this month during time of Ramadan, when Muslims fast from sun up and sun down.
Pray that we will be able to open up some conversations with the community as we pass out bibles and that if not, that we will just be able to shine the love of Jesus with just our actions and words towards them.
This months is going to be an amazing time of ministry and we are so excited about it!!
