Happy Fathers day to the best dad in the entire world!
My dad is quite possibly my favorite person in the world…top 5, at least.
He has always been the doting, loving, protective father that loves his family more than anything in the world.
Every time a teacher spoke about someone who inspires us or someone that we want to model our lives after, I always think of my dad.
Not only is he a loving father, but he is a devoted husband, an extremely hard worker, a fierce follower of Christ, and the most intelligent person that I know.
Im pretty positive that my love of reading, studying, and traveling came from Him. If I ever need book suggestions, he is my go to guy, and ill forever be thankful for that shared passion.
He is so gentle and passionate at the same time. He feels things so deeply, because he cares so deeply, and his actions and words reflect that in the ways that he cares for us and the people around him.
He once wrote me a letter, about 4 years ago, that I’m still reading to this day (read it to my team a couple days ago) and I still cry every time I read it. He calls out my worth in Christ and instills confidence in the fact that I’m beautifully made to be a daughter of the King.
They say that earthly fathers, even in their best forms, are just a shadow of our Father in heaven.
My father is the best man I know, and I’m convinced the best man ill ever know. He has set the standards for me and I want my children to take after him in so many ways.
If this is how I feel about my earthly father, then I cannot even begin to comprehend the goodness and perfection of our Father in heaven.
Dad, this ones for you. Miss you everyday and love you so much.
