Hello friends!

This past week was incredible! Jesus is so loving and so mighty.

Few things to recap:

– I got to meet my friend from my previous blog again. I almost didn’t recognize her because she looked so different. There were so much light and joy in her. She told me that she read the book of John from the pocket Bible and is learning more about Jesus. She also said she couldn’t believe it was so easy to release her burdens. She said she just gave them to God and that was it. She couldn’t believe it. He takes our burdens and gives us his easy yoke and light burden! YES!

– Killen Falls: When we visited this waterfall, there was a little area behind the waterfall that you can sit on. I found myself unable to move from this spot as I looked up at the waterfall from behind and seeing the water drop with such force and beauty. I could not believe what I was looking at. It was so beautiful. The power and magnificence of it had me in awe and at some points, I felt scared. I felt so small compared to its greatness. Then God spoke to me. “Yes, this waterfall is grand and powerful. But I’ve called you mine and I pursue you with my love. So you are greater than what you are looking at.” Ah! How can this be?

– We walked around the streets of Byron Bay and gave out flowers and prayed for people feeling lonely or unnoticed. It was fun to see people being suspicious at first and then smiling so big when we said it was free and we just wanted to show kindness and love. There was one lady that my friend Shelbie connected with. Shelbie felt that God wanted to tell the lady that He loves her and so she did. The lady cried, hugged her and invited her to spend more time with her. The next day, they had an awesome day together with good conversations.

There are so many good relationships being built and genuine opportunities to share the love and truth of Jesus. There are also so many victories and freedom seen in our squad. I cannot believe I get to be here. I am so so grateful.

But what I really want to talk about here today is SABBATH.

Our squad started out a bit unsure about what Sabbath looks like in our time and in this setting. Today is my third sabbath day on the race and I could not be more delighted. Even though I absolutely love being with our squad and can’t get enough of them, I was looking forward to today the entire week. I love the intimacy and being able to freely express my love to Him without any distractions. I love how He responds to me in different ways on the Sabbath. I love that there are no agenda or intentions, just purely loving each other’s presence. I love being loved by God and fully basking in it. It feels like God hits the ‘pause’ button on the world for me on our Sabbath. I love being alone with Him and nothing else seems to matter, not even time.

Sabbath began with a train ride to town.
