Hello friends!

I am here in Byron Bay, Australia! We are partnering with YWAM Byron Bay and are loving how God has prepared this place for us!

Despite it being our squad’s first month, I am amazed by the boldness, faith, hunger and submission to Christ I am witnessing in our squad mates. I am learning so much from them and love that I get to be here with them. #dreamjob

Our ministry is very open and flexible so that we can give the Holy Spirit room to speak and direct our days. We spend the majority of the time in the town of Byron Bay to talk to the backpackers, tourists, shopkeepers as God highlights them to us. Some of us have free prophetic art, free braids, free healing, free prayer corners at the beach. Some play soccer and volleyball with the people at the beach, building relationships and praying for them. Some play worship music on the streets.

We have seen a girl be healed from a back pain she had from birth, another woman who had hip injury being healed and running after the prayer.

One I want to share here is what I consider the best miracle: salvation.

Last Thursday night, the YWAM crew and our squad had free pancakes and chai night in the park. We had people making pancakes, people singing and playing live music, people with prophetic art, creating an open and spirit-filled atmosphere. I had the chance to talk with this one lady for the majority of the night. She was a little hesitant at first when I started talking to her. But she quickly opened up and our conversation flowed naturally. We talked about each other’s past (my testimony!) and then about what we believe (the gospel!). She had taken time off from her job for 6 months to find inner peace and her identity but the 6 months ended up extending to almost 2 years. She felt a strange disconnection in her spirit and confusion. When I shared my story and the gospel, she was open about God but felt that the name Jesus just shut her down. She had broken her collarbone a few days ago so I asked if I could pray for her. After Patrick, one of my co-leaders, and I prayed, she was quiet for a long time with tears rolling down her face. She said her shoulder wasn’t healed but she felt things she hasn’t felt before. She felt loved. The conversation continued but the tone took a turn. We were able to freely share about Jesus and the free gift of salvation and fruit of the Spirit with her.

After the conversation ended, I was helping myself to some chai tea when she found me again. I handed her a pocket Bible and she said she was about to leave but wanted to come back because this place made her feel at home. She said her life was changed and wants to read the Bible for herself and learn about the things we talked about.

As I was sharing with her, I could feel so much of God’s love for her. I am praying for her faith journey and for another chance to see her before I leave.

Keep this daughter in your prayers. She is so clearly made in His image and carries so much kindness and tenderness. & rejoice as we have gained a sister. woohoo!
