I am currently in the process of preparing to launch on this amazing journey called the World Race Gap Year program this fall! The World Race is a nine month program through Adventures in Missions (AIM) that travels to four countries doing all kinds of unique ministry. For more information on what exactly I will be doing, check out the tab to the left! I will be keeping updates here throughout my trip, and can’t wait to share what the Lord does over the course of the next year 🙂
A few things about myself:
1. I LOVE where I live. I have lived in Oregon my entire life (in a lil’ city called Tigard- sco ‘gers); an hour from the beach, an hour from the mountain, and just close enough to Portland to adopt the food/bubble tea-connoisseur lifestyle. I love traveling and seeing other places, but Oregon will always be my first love.
2. Hammocking, hiking, kayaking, paddleboarding, backpacking (preferably accompanied by my pup and my fam or friends); ALL of these float my boat.
3. I am not picky about music. . . unless it is country music. Then, I am very picky.
4. Pre-World Race I’m feeling:
- Pumped to create relationships with new people, be immersed in new cultures, and focus fully on my faith for a year
- Terrified to leave home for nine months straight
- Confident that the Lord will work through my fears in great ways
5. When I get back, I plan to study Nursing!
6. Some Favorites
Food: Mangoes, Tortilla Soup, Ice cream, TAMALES (I can’t pick one)
Color: Yellow & Blue
Game: Catan, Yahtzee, Card games
Verse: Matthew 6:34 OR John 11:35
7. I love my fam
8. This will be my first mission trip!
Once again, I am so excited to share this journey. Whether it be financially or by encouragement and prayers, your support means the world to me as I take these next steps!
