Fundraising has been one of the most challenging and humbling experiences of my life. Asking friends and family to donate their hard earned money was so far out of my comfort zone. But the thing is, I never could have done it alone. I couldn’t have gotten to this point without all the prayers/encouragement, every cookie order, each piece of jewelry sold and every single dollar donated. Through your overwhelmingly generous support, I am ecstatic to announce that I am fully funded! All $18,100 has been raised and I launch for the World Race in 60 short days. WHAT?!
Here is a little breakdown of how we got here:
- 71 individual donations
- 92 hours of babysitting
- 122 dozen cookies = 1,464+ total cookies
- 267 pieces of jewelry
I wish I could adequately express how much each donation has touched my heart. Each time a donation would come through my inbox, it brought tears to my eyes. Every single prayer was felt in such a big way. The immense outpouring of support has truly reaffirmed what I already knew. I am surrounded by a community of incredibly loving, generous and selfless people.
