Welcome! My name is Sara and I currently live in Dallas by way of Houston, TX. I graduated from Louisiana State University (Geaux Tigers!) in 2012 and have been working in communications/PR ever since.

My experience with international missions began in 2010 when I served as a camp counselor for orphaned children in Lusaka, Zambia, at Camp Life with Family Legacy Missions International. That summer, a seed was planted in my heart and my eyes were opened to something much greater than myself. Three years later, in 2013 the Lord called me back to Africa with Family Legacy at a time in my life that I needed it the most. That summer my group of 8-10 year old boys at Camp Life changed my faith in a big way and solidified my desire to continue to serve abroad.

Fast forward four years and God has pressed on my heart that it is finally time to go abroad again, in a much bigger way. The moment I heard about the World Race I knew in my heart it was the next chapter. So, for the entire year of 2018, I am leaving everything behind and seeing what the Lord has in store for me. I am eager to follow the Lord’s call to serve the least, the last, and the lost by spreading love and hope around the world!

Thank you for joining me on this journey! Be sure to subscribe to my blog for updates along the way.

LIFE UPDATED ——

I finished my World Race in December of 2019, and after a whirlwind 30 days back in America, I went back out into the field to lead a team of 6 through Cotdevoire & Ghana, Africa.  The World Race was an adventure that opened my heart and changed the trajectory of my life & faith. Fast forward to now, March 2020 and I am getting ready to begin 9 months with Generation 42 (G42) Leadership Academy in Mijas, Spain.

G42 is a 9-month program designed to disciple young people who are called to live in pursuit of Christ. It also equips leaders to plant authentic and impactful missional community wherever they go. I have open hands for what this next season holds and can’t wait to see what God will do!
