So I know I say this a lot, but God Is Faithful! Through the flooding, we’ve faced many trials, but the hardest one we ourselves have faced was having our water supply cut off. We have a huge water tank on the roof and when the water pipes were cut, that tank was our only source of water. Our food/drink, laundry, bathroom and shower water was sitting above our heads. Between the 7 of us we knew it would not last long.
Well, last night while I was rinsing off my toothbrush, the water tank emptied. With a spurt and a sputter, we were out of water.
This morning when I woke up we were still out of water. Prepared to bath with baby wipes and buy a bunch of water bottles, my team pressed on.
Later this morning, after almost a week and a half of the pipes being broken, the city turned the water back on, and the pipes were fixed. WE HAVE WATER AGAIN!! I took a shower first, and then did 3 weeks of nasty smelling laundry, something we’d not been able to do.
God is faithful, he promises to give us what we *need* (not necessarily what we always think we need)
We have water again, a roof over our heads, and CLEAN LAUNDRY!!! I am blessed beyond measure. And I smell GOOD!
Thank you God for being faithful and for this sweet reminder that I noticed moments after being told the water supply was back – the biggest rainbow I’ve ever seen shining brightly in the sky!! God has a way of Winking at us sometimes, and this was one of them. He Is Faithful!!
