It is month 5: Nepal.

In these past few weeks, much change has occurred. The main one being team changes. So, before moving on to new things and new growth, I wanted to just share with you about each teammate that I got to minister and serve alongside with on the journey thus far.

Here is a little something about each one of my former teammates (in no particular order).

//

Jen.

  1. She has the voice of an angel.
  2. She makes the best sound effects while playing volleyball.
  3. She finds the good in every, single situation.

Red flag: She sets alarms throughout the day to have time management.

Kelly.

  1. She will most definitely help you in anyway you need it.
  2. She is a master at listening.
  3. She always gives the best hugs when you’re feeling sad; even when it’s just awkward.

Red flag: She indeed will wake up at 5AM to clean a stove top. Yup, for real, no doubt.

Sarah (myself).

  1. She gives the best bear hugs ever. Even though she doesn’t resemble a bear in the least bit. A cub, maybe.
  2. She is an instrumental prodigy.
  3. She is as faithful as a golden retriever.

Red flag: She calls all animals “no” (cause she doesn’t want them near her).

Kristen.

  1. Fiercely loyal and committed; whether that is to a cause, an event, or YOU!
  2. Always down for an adventure. It could be the most spontaneous, random adventure and Kristen will be ready. Whether it’s chasing waterfalls in the rainforest or Sari shopping, take Kristen because she will make your trip fun and memorable.
  3. So optimistic! In every situation, Kristen is able to see the good and/or laugh at the not-so-great.

Red flag: Hide yo kids, hide yo pets because if they’re cute, Kristen “could literally squeeze them to death!” So beware.

Anna.

  1. Super intelligent and one of the best travelers I know.
  2. She is strong; she can most definitely hold her own.
  3. One of the most accomplished and driven women I have ever met, finding source of life from Jesus, Lord of her life.

Red flag: She has no idea what she’s going to be when she grows up.

Whitney.

  1. She was born to preach.
  2. She radiates joy in all that she does.
  3. Loves ALL creation so well.

Red flag: She will try to cuddle all the animals no matter how dirty or how many fleas they have. Yes, Sarah kept her distance.

Courtney.

  1. Loves all tiny humans.
  2. Always full of joy.
  3. She can make fun sounds out of any situation.

Red flag: She can be tickled from 10 feet away.

10 “And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you,” 1 Peter 5:10.

Thankful for this team and for each and every one of these ladies as we sought out all that Christ had for us all the while keeping our eyes fixed on Him.

Team Valor, we out.

//

Along with team changes, I was asked to lead one of the all-girl teams for this next half of the Race. Prayers that God gives me wisdom in leading this beautiful group of women in finding their identity in Him and encountering more of His presence each and every day.

More to come on TEAM TORCH.

Soli Deo Gloria.
