Team Torch is currently in Kenya working alongside the ministry, Woven ministries.
This ministry is led by a Spirit-filled woman named, Deborah Deren. This month, ministry includes multiple areas to serve in multiple capacities such as: the coffee shop called the Gazelle, the shamba which is the vegetable garden, church ministry, baking, cleaning, gardening, accounting, music lessons, worship, vacation Bible school (VBS), sports ministry (Futbol), girls club, and prayer walks.
Each day looks different. Basically, we are here to serve in any way, and in every way possible.
We are staying in Maasai Mara, among the Maasai tribes. The people here are so beautiful, inside and out. They all have stories that truly are inspiring: coming from circumstances that are so different and opposite of the American culture, yet they live out the Gospel so beautifully.

“It’s time to walk out your spiritual gifts in boldness.”
Being among this group of people has been an enormous blessing. The Holy Spirit’s power in them is incredible, you can sense the Holy Spirit’s presence everywhere you go.
Many of the leaders of this ministry walk in spiritual gifts – prophecy, vision, healing, faith – and I don’t think it is a coincidence that Team Torch was placed in this town, in the middle of nowhere, Kenya.
For myself personally, being here has brought me to ask myself a convicting question – am I living out my spiritual gifts? Not only that, but am I living out my spiritual gifts in boldness and in confidence, fully diving into being obedient to the Father and what He asks of me?
This month, I am going to continue to earnestly seek the higher gifts. Not only that, but I am going to live out my spiritual gifts. I am going to walk in boldness, in confidence, and in authority – authority that has been given to me because of the blood of Jesus Christ that was shed for me.
If you have given your life to Jesus, you also walk in that authority. So, I ask you the same question: will you live out in that authority with boldness and confidence?
“For I am not ashamed of the Gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For in it righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, “The righteous shall live by faith.” Romans 1:16-17.
