This past Saturday was our 3rd and final adventure day in Albania. And the day could not have been much better, but the mountain and cable cars wasnt even the best part.
Ya’ll know I love people. Especially new ones. (If you only knew me as a child, yeah.. a lot has changed).
This adventure was already kinda confusing because two other groups had gone to this mountain before us and we had some info, but it was sketchy. Like I heard something about not finding the right bus and about having to split the group into two taxis so I was worried we were gonna get lost. We took the first bus and when we got off I was confused right away, and more so after I asked for directions.
Long story short, Jenn had a gut feeling that we should follow these two guys because she was sure they were going to the mountain, so we did. We watched as they asked for direcctions, took a tourist snapshot, crossed the street multiple times, and finally decided we should reveal why we were stalking them.
We ended up talking to them and finding out more than just where the guys were headed (same place we were). One was a local and the other from Malta. We spent the entire day with our two new friends. The cable cars were so great, but the highlight of out adventure was how we laughed and joked all day with the guys. We spent our time, singing, talking, hiking (I was in a dress and crocs btw), eating, and walking more around the city. By the end of the day we didn’t even want to leave. Truly a bitter sweet day with Reece and Franc. Who are the two fellows featured in my vlog.
(One of the guys is even researching the international version of WR now!)
Keep in mind that ministry can happen anywhere at anytime. And it never looks the same. As my mentor Teresa would say, “Jesus gonna find you.”
