This past week in Albania we have had a lot of ups and downs. We are all trying to adjust to living with 10 other girls and learn their personalities, but so far we have been able to get along and express ourselves in a healthy way through feedback times. Our days have been pretty basic; eating, working, and playing with kids, and cooking. Saturday we got to go with a local to the city center (downtown) and see this giant pipe sculpture, his university, and one of the lakes (BELOW)

Earlier in the week while everyone else was clearing our the bottom floor of the school, I have an extra task of creating the kindergarden logo and brochure/flyer, which is fun because it is all in Albanian. I also decided to be intentional with trying to learn small phrases and pronounciation of words. They have 10 more letters than we do in the alphabet and some that we have are pronounced differently. (This is helpful when trying to order food, which has all been soooooo amazing by the way)
On another note, we have also had a lot of fun incidents and accidents as a group. The escalator pile up, getting hit with soccer balls, slipping down a ramp, losing water (in both locations), electricity going out through the storm, getting locked inside our home (the door jammed and we couldn’t get in or out), getting yelled at for wanting to pet the stray dogs. It’s been fun.
Here are a few things that some might think are hard to deal with, but I see as blessings:
Con: We don’t have A/C and its been over 100 everyday
Pro: We don’t stay in the house all day
Con: 1 toilet is missing the toilet seat, 1 toilet is around the block
Pro: Our bathroom situation makes for great exercise between the squating and walking
Con: We don’t speak the language
Pro: Everyone is gracious in trying to help, and I get to use free time to try and learn some Albanian!

Con: We have to walk to and from work everyday
Pro: There is an AMAZING gelato stand on the way that sells 3 scoops and a cone for 50 Leke (about 44 Cents)
Con: Sketchy Wifi at home
Pro: TONS of local coffee shops around = tons of ministry opportunity (My team is already starting a relationship with one of the Islamic owners)
((So please keep our team unity, learning, ministry, and evangalism in your prayers))
And finally, I am not a pro vlogger, but I found this quick and easy app and threw together something fun for you to watch from travel days, to ministry, to adventure day , check it out!:
