When I discovered I’d be on a team with 6 other girls I was a little concerned. I mean, what’re the chances 7 strangers travel together and get along? Cue pounding heart and clammy hands.
I’d say they’re pretty low, but in all honesty, Peace of Freedom (+ additional names) and I are all close. We’ve stayed up sharing stories and laughing so hard. When something happens, there is always someone to talk to and make sure you’re not alone.
There’s something so uniquely special about this group of people. They demonstrate Christ to me in the purest and most encouraging ways.
These girls have taught me what it means to be brave, courageous, undaunted, determined, and fearless. Together we are lionhearted women of God who are BOLDLY and WISELY walking with His purpose for our lives in mind. God has done good works in and through each and every single one of us. He has shown us how to be lionhearted because that’s the only way we’re ever really going to be like Christ because there’s nothing braver than going against the world by choosing to follow Jesus.
This is something we can’t do on our own. God is walking alongside us every step of the way. He empowers us because it is impossible to be lionheartedly bold and wise against the world without Him.
Thank you for intentionality building community. Thank you for lifting me up when I feel like the stress and the pressure is too much to handle. Thank you for taking on my burdens and accepting at my best and my worst. Thank you for loving me and getting to really, truly know me. Thank you for being my safe haven and home away from home. Most importantly, thank you for being a community whose core is based on the Word of Jesus and lives that out so well.
Each and every one of you has played a role in helping me to grow as a person and in my walk with Christ. I will forever be grateful for all of you, the memories we create, and that I get to live life with you for this next year. I love you all so much and words are not enough to express the gratitude I have for all that you’ve done for me.
