You know the drill, let’s get started!
-The entire squad traveled from Vietnam to Cambodia together on one of those huge buses. When you do that, you have to get out of the bus at the border, go through customs, and then get back on the bus at the other side. Our bus happened to be parked next to an identical one, and those of us who boarded first had the pleasure of watching at least half of the squad get on the wrong bus.
-One night in our apartment, I heard a loud noise from the kitchen – something between a shriek and a giggle. When I investigated the situation, I found Brittany frantically trying to catch a gecko that was climbing up and down the walls. Of course it was too fast for her, so when it went all the way down to the floor, I saw an opportunity. I grabbed a broom and chased it out the door, and that was the last we saw of the kitchen gecko

As we all turned, shocked, we saw a Vietnamese restaurant and realized what Racquel had actually said was “Pho!” (Pronounced “fuh”). Context is important, people…
-When we spent three days in a village towards the end of the month, most of my teammates opted to sleep in their hammocks. Three of them were stacked in one set of trees: Brittany on the bottom, Lyndi in the middle, and Gretchen all the way to the top. Getting in and out of an eno hammock is an art, but there’s a bit of a learning curve. The first morning, Gretchen did her best to climb down without waking up anyone, but she slipped and ended up landing directly onto Brittany. Good morning!
