The last time I posted on this blog – almost a year ago – I had just been accepted to CGA, the discipleship school here at AIM. I came to Gainesville with no idea what lay ahead. Squad leading? Seminary? Long-term missions?  I wasn’t sure where I would be headed next, I just knew that I wanted to be prepared for whatever it was.

Now, with two weeks left before graduation, I know where I’m going next… and it just happens to be my favorite place in the world.

SWAZILAND

This time, I’m headed to Manzini to intern with the AIM base there, specifically focusing on writing, media, and communications.  I’ll be there for a year, starting this spring (my estimated launch date is somewhere between mid-April and the beginning of May).

Is that prospect intimidating?  Sure.  Traveling to another continent by myself, fundraising all of my living expenses, finding community in yet another new place… all of those things would give me every reason to freak out.  But I’m not.

The Lord has brought me through so much in the past four years since I was first gearing up to go to Training Camp for the World Race.  It hasn’t been easy and has rarely looked like what I expected it too, but when God is in it, I can tell you for sure that it’s been good.
