Hello! Well, I’ve been home for almost two weeks now, and it’s weird. Not bad weird, but still kind of weird. I’ll be posting some in-depth reflections soon, but first I figured I’d answer a few of the frequently asked questions about the Race. Enjoy!
Favorite country: Swaziland
Favorite ministry: Sending Hope International in Thailand
Longest flight: Chicago to Dubai – 16 hours
Longest road travel day: Swaziland to Mozambique – 54 hours
Weirdest thing I ate: A cricket. Honorable mention goes to deep-fried frog legs (both of these were in Cambodia)
Most rustic living conditions: Mozambique
Most interesting bathroom: Mozambique, India is a runner-up
Favorite adventure day: playing with elephants in Thailand
Country with the best coffee: Cambodia (iced) and Guatemala (hot)
Country with the best food: Thailand
Countries I most want to go back to: Swaziland, Thailand, South Africa
What I’m doing next: I’ll be spending the summer as a camp counselor and then… well that’s still a secret because it isn’t official yet 😉
