New friends/Marta
This is my friend Marta, and I let me tell you about her. Have you ever seen someone and immediately you’re drawn to them? Well, this is how it was with Marta. There was a dance party going on with the special needs residents, at the orphanage I’m doing ministry in, and she caught my eye. She was off dancing by herself, I made my way over to her, grabbed her hands, and we smiled an laughed together. While we were dancing I started praying for her, under my breath, and the second I said Jesus’s name she ripped her hands away from me and stormed out of the building. After experiencing this, my spirit felt even more drawn to her. I knew she needed some prayers, and definitely lots of love. Since then, my teammate Sammie and I see her every day. We love her, cry with her, and pray for her. Marta is really sad when Sammie and I talk to her. The other day when we were talking to her we noticed cuts on her arms, she had taken glass from the broken windows and cut herself with it. When we asked her about the cuts she told us that when she is sad she cuts her arms. The only way we can talk to her is through the windows she has broken in her bedroom. I ask Jesus to give me his heart for her and he does. I love my friend Marta, and so does Jesus. Everyday when she sees Sammie and I walking to the window of her room she is so excited, and when we leave she cries. We have built such a sweet friendship with Marta. Please pray for Marta to experience the depths of Jesus’s love and healing for her. Marta es muy bonita.
