I made it to the United States.
9 months. 6 countries. 18 cities.
I thought about a lot of things when it came to the race, including how God was going to change me, but the way God changed my life exceeded all expectations I had or could have had.
You all have no idea how long it has taken me to write this blog. So much has happened and Jesus has showed up so much that I could write a novel about it. I might write a novel later, but for now, I will leave you all with this: God is bigger and better than any of us could imagine. Jesus still does the same things that He did in the Bible, and The Holy Spirit is real and is moving.
God is so big and so good. He literally created everything. I’ve learned that He is isn’t just a loving God, but a jealous one. He loves me so much that sometimes when I’m not paying attention to Him, He will, as I like to say “smack me across the face” to get my attention. He showed me that if He could take me on a $16,000 mission trip, then there’s no telling where He will take me next as long as I follow Him. He promises bigger and better!
The Bible is alive and active people! And so is Jesus! He is still getting people to cast out demons (I’ve seen it in Africa). He still heals people ( I’ve seen it in Africa and Nicaragua). He really did suffer in all of the same ways that we do and He feels it every time we sin or suffer. If we Ask Jesus to break our hearts for what breaks His, He will show us. Jesus is our best friend. He’s not just up in heaven watching over us, He is right here with us.
The Holy Spirit is real and I can’t tell Christians enough about how much we can connect with Him. HE LIVES INSIDE OF US! HE IS A PART OF US! The Holy Spirit is our biggest supporter and comforter. He our inside source into the spiritual world. He gives spiritual gifts. With The Holy Spirit guiding our every step, we will do the impossible. He took me to a village that seemed impossible to get to do. He guided my steps to the race and guided every step I took on the race. Strive to be consumed and overwhelmed by the Holy Spirit.
The race may be ending, but my journey with God is just beginning. I’m ready.
