Okay. So here’s the thing: I LOVE lists.

I love making lists, reading lists, eat sleep and breathing lists. If you know me (and or lived with me), you will know that I make a lot of lists. They can be found scattered throughout the house, tapped on mirrors, on the back of random things and stuck in books. I like writing things down because the good Lord knows He did not bless me with a good short term memory. So when it comes to the World Race, my love of lists has yet to disappoint. The thing about my list making “problem” is that I have an issue where I will I leave them laying around. While I find comfort in writing things down when I am thinking of it, I am slightly more successful with either misplacing it or rewriting the list with changes. The amount of lists I have can easily be cut by like 72% if I remembered where they were and just added and crossed off things as I go. Anyways, I am sitting here just a few days before leaving for Launch and I am drowning in lists. Current list count is now like 7 (easily). (Side note: incase you were wondering about how bad my list obsession is I have a list of things to do and a list of what order/when they need to get done). They are also all over the place. I have some electronic ones and some hand written ones. So packing and wrapping everything up to leave is complicated by my many lists… I feel like I am forgetting something… (let’s hope I remember my pack… and passport…)

Anyways, moral of the story: Lists are extremely helpful when in limited quantities and when put in known locations. (Maybe I should keep a list of where my lists are)

Humble advice from a World Racer to future World Racers: This is a big journey. Making a list of what you need to accomplish between getting accepted and launching will help you be fully prepared to leave and be fully absent from home life successfully. Just keep track of where you put your lists, but 10 out of 10 would recommend a list.
