hey!

this week has been a tough one for sure.

yesterday i had my senior night for lacrosse. if you didn’t know, i am so passionate about my little high school lacrosse team. these girls, for the most part, haven’t picked up a stick until 2 months ago, but man are they picking the game up quick. i love my team and lacrosse, two very big and very hard goodbyes that i am processing. this week has been a tough one for sure.

tonight was our last regular season game, and it was against one of the best teams in the state. needless to say, we didn’t possess the ball much. yet, we took the loss with class and smiles on our faces because we love the opportunity to get out there and play with each other for one of the last times ever. tonight was a tough one for sure.

after the bus got back to school, i decided to take the along way home. as i approached my neighborhood, i prepared myself to be sitting at my hood stoplight for at least 2+ minutes. i swear, this stoplight takes forever, it always has, since i was younger. but the coolest thing happened: it turned green just as i was pulling up to it, just like it has since monday morning. and boy do i go through this intersection a lot!

while it sounds so simple, it has been such a gift this week. there’s so much happening this week in my head & heart besides lacrosse, and that green light has been such a gift in the sweetest way, giving me extra time in my day and less anxiety to face. it’s like Jesus knew exactly how to say “hey, i’m here, though you can’t always hear me.” the sweetest gifts come in the weirdest of ways.

cool to experience God preparing me right before my eyes.

luke 9:61-62

another said,” i will follow you, Lord, but first let me say goodbye to those at my house”

but Jesus said to him,” no one who puts his had to the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God.”

its definitely going to be hard to continue looking forward where god is leading me, but oh man am i excited to go.
