My prayer for this post is that God gives me the words to fully express my heart and reasoning behind fundraising.

The truth about fundraising is that it is hard. It is not easy asking people to donate their money that they work for to me. The thing about following Jesus is that it is not meant to be easy. I know 100% that the Lord is calling me to advance HIS kingdom in Swaziland and South Africa this summer. Doing that entails fundraising a total of $5,450. I know that is a lot of money, but I also know that money cannot stop Jesus.

Asking people to donate takes a lot of vulnerability and faith in the Lord. With that being said, I have never felt closer to Jesus than I do in moments of vulnerability. With every dollar I receive toward my trip, I feel God shaping me to be more like Jesus through my overflowing gratitude for my supporters and the Lord.

This is where I am about to get super duper vulnerable:

I need to have $2,725 raised by March 30th. That is in a little over a month. My prayer is that if you feel led to support me in my journey for Jesus (I just came up with that, but I think its cute) you know that I am so grateful. Any donation makes a difference! I just ask that you pray and ask the Lord to guide you in whether or not you support me financially. I have faith that the Lord will provide. I have seen the Lord completely blow my expectations out of the water so many times, and I do not expect anything less now!

Matthew 21:22 says “And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.”

Just know that I am praying and I have faith!

Now lets talk about a crazy goal:

My birthday is April 10th. That is also Good Friday (my favorite day of the year). I have really felt the Lord pressing me to set a goal of being fully funded by my birthday. This goal seems so crazy and unobtainable, but I also set my goal for Easter weekend. The weekend symbolizing the crucifixion AND resurrection of Jesus Christ. To me, this seems like a weekend where God will continue to do extraordinary things!
