I actually cannot believe that in 117 days I will embark on the greatest journey of my life thus far! I have always felt God pulling me toward the mission field. My heart has always broke at the sight of brokenness in the world. My heart has also always rejoiced knowing that Jesus loves me as much as He does! These two things basically sum up my why for what I am doing this summer. If you still do not know what that is, I am going on the semesters version of the world race. I will be spending two months in two different countries in Southern Africa–Swaziland and South Africa.

God has taught me a lot in the days leading up till I leave for Africa. The main thing is trust. Trusting anybody is something I have always struggled with. I have always thought that if I am going to get something done the way I want it done, then I am going to have to do that for myself. Lately, however, I have been hearing God tell me let go and let Him work. That has been so hard for me!

If you have seen my posts on Facebook or Instagram, you know I am currently raising money for my trip. I am not gonna lie. The amount of money I still have to raise is so overwhelming, but I know God is working! I am trying really hard to rest in that and TRUST Him. I know God will provide, because he always does, and I am already seeing his provision. If you’d like to support me financially, you can donate directly to my trip on the same website you are reading this.

I am so thankful for the opportunity to share the gospel in Swaziland and South Africa this summer! Please pray for my team and I as we prepare spiritually, physically, and financially. If you would like to keep up with me as I navigate life before, during, and after the race, you can subscribe to my blog to get updates when I post!
