Since we just finished month 4 of the race, I figured I would give you some lists of fours to let you all know what amazing things the Lord has been doing so far and why I need your support to finish the race.
4 countries I have been in (just in case you haven't been following my blog thus far–go back and check them out there is some really great stuff in there!):
1. Ecuador
2. Peru
3. Peru again (originally Bolivia but the Lord had other plans–we did end up in Bolivia for a few days)
4. Romania
4 things I have eaten thus far:
1. Rice, and lots of it!
2. Chicken stomach (it really isn't as bad as most people think it is…just kind of tough)
3. Fish (but not the eyeball like some people on my team…)
4. Various delicious soups (made daily by our last contact)
4 forms of transportation:
1. Airplane
2. Buses (too many to count!)
3. Comvis (a 15 passenger van stuffed with at least 20 individuals at a time)
4. Trains (I am on a 26 hour followed by a 20 hour ride on one now…)
4 ways I have experienced the Holy Spirit:
1. Being baptized by Him (resulting in uncontrollable laughter)
2. Him opening my eyes to see myself he way He sees me (resulting in lots of tears)
3. In the transformation and growth of my team and squad mates.
4. In prayer (resulting in praying in tongues)
4 things I have learned and done well:
1. Asking intentional, thought provoking questions
2. Diving head first into what the Lord has planned for me
3. Listening and obeying when I hear the Lord speak
4. Stepping out of my comfort zone
4 things I want to grow in:
1. Developing a more intimate and personal relationship with the Lord
2. Figuring out what my identity is in the Lord
3. Reading and memorizing more scripture
4. Figuring out what it means and looks like to rest in the Lord
